Wood Group Kenny has a strong track record in the management of subsea and offshore projects, established over thirty years in business. We apply our project management capabilities through front-end-engineering-design (FEED) and into project execution. Many of our staff are qualified project management specialists, and combine engineering know-how, technical knowledge of management disciplines, and accumulated offshore oil and gas experience to do their work. Our project management procedures are supported by in-house developed and third party project management software.

We apply Strategic Planning through the FEED stage of a project, and, based on experience, we fully recognise the major influence that good strategic planning has on controlling project expenditure for the subsequent execution stage of the project.

We use Oracle E-Business software to support our Project Management Services business. Additionally, we have developed our own software, Doc Pro Net, for document control and ARADIO for change control. The following sketch highlights the various project management software used and how we link them together for a given project.

 

Wood Group Kenny has developed an Information Management System (IMS) in Sharepoint. This IMS enables conformance with Wood Group Kenny corporate best practice, and allows our worldwide business units easy access to shared knowledge and continuously improving project management processes. In particular, a Tool Box section of the IMS captures lessons learnt and best practice on previous projects, and this enables us to support our clients with the latest engineering know-how on the jobs we work on.
