>>Wood Group Kenny supports industry leading oil spill containment project
Wood Group Kenny (WGK) has secured a five year contract with Oil Spill Response (Capping) Ltd (OSRCL) to provide the maintenance support for a key part of a containment toolkit that would be used to control hydrocarbon release in the event of a subsea well control incident.

>>Wood Group Kenny awarded FEED contract on Woodside’s proposed Greater Western Flank Phase 2 development
Wood Group Kenny (WGK) has secured a contract with Woodside to provide the front end engineering design (FEED) of the flowline system, and associated procurement support, for the proposed Greater Western Flank Phase 2 (GWF-2) development for the North West Shelf (NWS) Project, offshore Western Australia.

>>WGK recently supported an Underwater Inspection In Lieu of Dry-docking (UWILD) on a drill rig located in the northern Browse Basin. The UWILD was performed to allow the semi-sub to stay on station drilling a number of key wells. WGK provided the inspection co-ordinator, recording hardware and software (NEXUS-IC), and the Alternating Current Field Measurement (ACFM) technicians to support the campaign. The tides and currents proved to be a real challenge and provided an insight into the challenges which permanently moored FLNG vessels and associated Inspection Maintenance and Repair (IMR) campaigns will face in the Browse Basin.

Wood Group Kenny has been awarded the front end engineering design (FEED) for the subsea and pipeline element of the Peterhead Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project in Aberdeenshire. The project, the world’s first full-chain CCS project on a gas-fired power station, is being developed by Shell, with strategic support from Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE).

Wood Group Kenny (WGK) has been awarded an engineering services contract to support Tullow Ghana Limited and its partners through the execution phase of the Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme (TEN) project, offshore Ghana.

Wood Group Kenny (WGK) has been awarded a £36 million call-off contract, for 2014, with BP Azerbaijan under their 2007 Global Agreement. The contract will cover engineering and project management services for the Shah Deniz 2 Subsea Execute phase.

Wood Group Kenny (WGK) will be delivering a keynote presentation at this year’s Subsea North East Conference and Exhibition, taking place at Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield, UK on Wednesday 4th June 2014. The conference, which will bring together key players from across the subsea sector, aims to highlight future opportunities and deliver an insight into the global picture of the sector.

>>Subsea Integrity Management Knowledge Forum to take place at OTC
The first meeting of a new knowledge sharing forum on the topic of subsea integrity management practice will take place in Houston during OTC week. The SURFIM Network is being led by Wood Group Kenny with support from the Industry Technology Facilitator (ITF) and thirteen operating companies, including many of the major international operators and a range of smaller independents, have so-far confirmed participation in the initiative.
